I have walked, ran and driven by this spot hundreds of times always trying to figure out how to capture this scene. On a blustery November day the low afternoon sun splashed the red gate with wonderful bright light. The photo turned out very monochromatic though, so I isolated the gate and processed the rest into black and white. Too bad the willow on the island is overgrown......
Mt Rainier is 119 miles away! Note the frozen slope.
